HUBER Solution for Micro-Screening / Filtration of Raw Wastewater
The HUBER Solution MeChem® includes micro-screening for the treatment of raw wastewater that is discharged into the sea of large rivers. By micro-screening almost all solids and, if required, also phosphates are removed. Prior to micro-screening the raw wastewater is treated by precipitation and/or flocculation.
This solution is primarily used in developing and emerging countries to treat large wastewater flows quickly and especially cost-effectively. Our modular system can be built out, step by step, to a full-biological treatment plant. Our first mechanical/chemical stages are particularly cost-effective as well as fast and easy to implement steps in the right direction.
For micro-screening of raw wastewater we provide the following HUBER products, depending on the requirements:
- Our ultra-fine screens ROTAMAT® Membrane Screen RoMem® and ROTAMAT® Micro Strainer Ro 9 Mem are installed in channels and have a mesh size between 0.5 and 1 mm.
- Our ultra-fine ROTAMAT® Rotary Drum Screen RoMesh® has a mesh size between 0.2 and 1 mm.
- Our micro-strainer RoDisc® Rotary Mesh Screen is provided with fabric of a mesh size between 0.01 and 0.1 mm. The fabric is applied on both sides of slowly rotating discs.
